Main item's material: cardstock

Main item's features: design on both sides, square corners and placeholder data already present as shown in the image on the left.

Main item's description: ID card issued by the Department of Defense (DOD) to personnel entitled to receive meals without charge during the 1950s-2000s.

Remarks: the difference between the "1953 edition" and "1961 edition" of the DD form 714 consists in sliglhtly different data fields, backside instructions and the presence/lack of a letter in the background of the front side. The "1981 edition" feature a different design althogether. The main differences among the "series" consist in different fonts being used for the item's design (both within the same "edition" and among different "editions"), while the main difference among "types" (within each "series") consist in different serial numbers placed at the bottom right corner of the front side and at the bottom of the backside.
