Main item: US Marine Corps ID card (N. Nav. 546), 1940s

Main item's material: cardstock

Main item's features: design on one side only or both sides, square or round corners and placeholder data already present as shown in the image on the left. Photograph is printed directly on the ID card.

Main item's description: ID card (N. Nav. 546) issued by the US Marine Corps to its personnel during the WW2 (World War II) and throughout the 1940s for purposes of identification and access to installations.

Remarks: "Series" feature different front sides that can be matched with different backsides accoriding to preference. The "Front side, Series 1" cards design is available in 4 assortments ("Large edges, Type 1", "Large edges, Type 2", "Small edges", "No edges"), indicating the presence of a white border past the black outline of the ID card. "Large edges, Type 1" cards feature a white border that is more thicker horizontally than vertically, "Large edges, Type 2" cards feature a white border that is more thicker vertically than horizontally, "Small edges" cards feature a very thin white border of equal thickness both horizontally and vertically and "No edges" cards feature no white border and no black outline at all. Each of these assortments feature the same design which is available in 3 different thickness ("light", "regular", "bold"). The "Types" of the "Front side, Series 2" cards feature the same design (with the exception of the "Name" line whose dotting begins halfway and right above the word "Name" on "Type 1" cards) but slightly difference dimensions (see picture on the left for a comparison).

"HOT" LAMINATION (available ONLY for "Series 1, Small edges", "Series 1, No edges" and "Series 2")

Adds "hot" lamination to your main item: the main item is laminated with the standard lamination method; as such laminating edges appear around the main item and the lamination comes with round corners.

"COLD" LAMINATION (available ONLY for "Series 1")

Adds "cold" lamination to your main item: the main item is wrapped in a clear plastic sheet; as such no laminating (clear) edges appear around the main item and lamination comes with straight corners.

EYELET (available ONLY for "Series 1")

Adds 1 eyelet to your main item. If lamination is added (whether "cold" or "hot"), the eyelet will pierce through it. The eyelet appears centered below the photograph.
