Main item: FBI credentials, 1980s

Main item's material: cardstock

Main item's features: design on front only, square corners and placeholder data already present as shown in the image on the left. Photograph is printed directly on the credentials.

Main item's description: credentials issued by the Federal Bureau of Investigation to its active and retired personnel during the 1980s.

Remarks: "retired" credentials bear the word "RETIRED" printed in black dots. The differences between this item and FBI credentials, 1970s and FBI credentials, 1990s) consist in the different font of the issue date below the photo (or in the lack of it), in a different design than some of the FBI credentials, 1990s for the banner at the top and in slightly different fonts for the text above and below the FBI seal on the bottom card than in the FBI credentials, 1990s (see picture on the left for comparison).

HARD COVER (COMMISSIONED BOOK)

Adds the appropriate hard cover to your main item. Hard covers (also known as "commissioned books") consist in a rigid cover (inside which credentials are attached) that can be opened and closed like a case/wallet. The hard cover for this item is black and available either in leatherette or paper in two different versions. The differences are as follows:

Differences in material:
  • Leatherette hard cover is made of leatherette but comes without any design.
  • Paper: hard cover is made of paper but the appropriate design appears on it. For paper hard covers "encapsulation" is also available (see below).

    • Differences in design (only for "paper" hard covers):
  • Type 1 contains a border theme depicting a sequence of scales
  • Type 2 contains a border theme depicting a sequence of floreal symbols

    • If you order the hard cover together with the main item, please make sure to select whether you want us to attach it inside the hard cover or not. Please notice that main items are attached inside hard covers by default unless otherwise specified.

    ENCAPSULATION (available only for paper hard covers)

    Adds encapsulation to your paper hard cover: the hard cover will be encapsulated in a thin, clear film which makes it stronger and enhances its colors.
